Hi there! My name is Summer.

I was fortunate enough to grow up always having a camera within my reach. My dad has been a longtime photography enthusiast and does incredible wildlife photography. As a child, I would always play around with a camera, but it was not until I was around 16 years old that I started taking photographs more frequently and began focusing on people as my subjects, and subsequently, everything (pun intended) just clicked into place.

To this day, I can’t really define my specific photographic style as each shoot is completely different. However, my number one focus is to always ensure my model(s)/client looks their absolute best. I take pride in making my subjects feel confident and like their best selves, whether I’m working with a professional model or someone who’s never been in front of a camera before.

I love high fashion visuals, artistic documentary-style photography, and effortless photos that capture a special memory. I sometimes edit with grain to give a film-like feel, and I (recently) began using my dad’s old Nikon F4 film camera to shoot on film. However, most often, I create commercial/retouched style images. In a nutshell, my style is subject to my client’s preference and comes down to the shoot concept.

Whilst learning, growing, and exploring my passion for photography on a freelance basis, I maintain a full-time job in marketing at Jenna Clifford while also being their head photographer. Balancing these roles means that my time for photography is precious and carefully managed, but it also brings a unique benefit to my clients.
